Your guitarist(s), bassist, and drummer are very good. Your lead singer and backup vocals have talent as well. You have all the makings of a potentially great band.

However, your lyrics are plain, cliché, and sort of whiny. Now, before you bristle and accuse me of not liking the style of music, think for a moment. If your band ever becomes popular, you might consider putting a bit more effort into your lyrics.

I think they follow a train of thought, but some lines conflict with the others or don`t make any sense at all. Sometimes its as if you`ve written a love song, other times a breakup song, and sometimes it dips lightly into the emo genre.

Now, you might think this a minor thing, really, but the core of a song apart from the instruments being played are the lyrics. That`s what allows listeners to identify with the song, and what in turn sells your album.

Right now they sound random and hurriedly thrown together, which throws off the quality of the music, which is good. Keep it up regardless, good luck to you and your band.

Very Well Done

It's an interesting deviation from some of your other works. At some points it goes from ambient to miscellaneous and, and back and forth again, but manages to keep with the theme... whatever that theme may be.

I can't identify any of the instruments you're using, not being a digital music artist, but I can say that you use them to great effect. The only thing I can point out as to give this a negative side are the repetitive high notes predominant in the last 40 seconds of the song. They grate just a bit.

I don't know about everyone else, but I found that the tune started out cheerful and instead finished in a more melancholic atmosphere, which isn't very common in music.

Overall, I liked it quite a bit, and would definitely listen to any more of your music, whichever the genre, should it be released onto Newgrounds.

9.5/10

This is a Summary.

Ah, now once I hit 1:24 of this song, I knew I'd want to download it.

I for one am especially fond of guitars, more specifically; acoustics, so you get an automatic +4 to your rating on that alone. On top of that, I have really never heard a classical guitar played that well before, and the quality is very good indeed, allow me to compliment your father on his playing.

Violins do sound nice alongside a guitar or two, and you've mixed it in perfectly, staying in tune and on key throughout the entire song, not pushing the guitar away nor being diminished by it. The piano accompanies both instruments nicely as well. The lyrics sung at the end is as effective as a musician could ever hope for, and as a tribute, this is certainly a resounding success, and I applaud you!

I can't really think of anything you could change, and I'd probably have to berate you if you did. ;P

It is with great pleasure that I present to you my rating of 10/10, which I don't feel many people deserve in their work. No offense to anyone, it's just that 10 is 100%, flawless. Music that is perfect is very rare indeed.

Looking forward to more on your part. :)

Very Neat

You have all the key parts of an ambient track down and settled, and the wave sound effects are a nice touch. This is good. However, I was disappointed slightly, as you missed a few key moments where some extra "punch" would've made that much more of an impact.

And yes, I will point out which parts. Hurrah for constructive criticism! :D

There is a drum beat that plays just once throughout the entire song. Having it alternate between hitting once, twice, and thrice throughout the song would me an excellent way to vary the beat.

Also, at around 2:08, increasing the bass volume and and adding a few more bass notes was the turn I expected the track to take, and was slightly disappointed when it didn't. Nice and relaxing, speeds up without getting overexcited.

Overall, very nice work, keep it up!

Thank you very much for taking time to write a good review. Problem is, that my computer was hitten by a virus and I had to formate it :/ And I lost the fl project file. So I can't change it. But of course, I could put the song into fl studio in mp3 file, and add bass :) I will look at it.

Escape

It's funny how people say music can take you places, places you've never been, places you have been, maybe even places you will be.

Every now and then there comes along a song or two that can do that to you even if you're not focusing on "escaping" so to speak. Many people claim that their favourite bands allow them to experience this (especially those saddening people and their emo bands!), but I believe that it's most often the ambient genres that let us out of our corporeal confines and... explore.

When I heard this song, I was in the midst of searching for ambient music for a game I'm helping to create. This song doesn't fit in with what I was looking for, but I was glad that I stopped to listen to it all the same.

Mental images vary from person to person, but mine was of walking down a pleasant, carved stone hallway that was very blue. Not sad, but the colour, blue. Overall this is a very nicely made track, keep up the good work!

thank you very much and I share your opinion

Reminds Me

The reminds me of cave-crawling back in Oblivion, the beginning of the track sounds similar to the music played when inside caves and tunnels. Very nicely done. :)

I guess it does sound like that doesn't it? Now you've made me want to go play Oblivion again after I'm done with Fallout 3 >.> *Shakes Fist*
